Meet Partner Erika Gebhardt

On Behalf of | May 9, 2019 | Firm News

Over the course of the next several weeks, we are pleased to introduce you to the team that makes up Gebhardt, Emerson, & Moodie Family Law, LLC. We are proud of the work that we do, and we could not provide outstanding service to our clients without each member of our team! This week, meet Erika Gebhardt, one of the founding partners of GEM Family Law.

Question (Q): How long have you been an attorney?
Answer (A): Seven years
Q: Have you ever worked in any other areas of the law?
A: In addition to family law, I have practiced both employment law and commercial litigation.
Q: What do you enjoy most about family law?
A: I enjoy crafting creative solutions to problems and really enjoy working with children. After
working in other types of law, I felt family saw was more suited to my strengths in these
areas.
Q: What do you think makes you stand out among other professionals?
A: I have personal experience with a variety of family issues, including complicated legal and
financial matters. I think this puts me in a unique position, because I know what did and did
not work for my family and the reasons why. Therefore, I can avoid some of the negative
consequences of those pitfalls my family went through for my clients.
Q: Are you originally from Colorado? If so, what do you love most about it? If not, what
brought you to Colorado and what do you love most about it?
A: I am originally from Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!). I came to Colorado when I was 18 to attend
Colorado College for my undergraduate degree. My favorite things about Colorado are the
wonderful people, including everyone at GEM, the weather, the outdoor activities, and the lack
of mosquitos.
Q: When you are not working at GEM Family Law, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: Me and my family love to hike, ski, camp, and pretty much do anything else outside.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: I have 8 siblings from a very blended family.
