This week, learn more about Joelle Rhodes! Joelle joined GEM Family Law this summer and has been an incredible addition to the GEM Family Law team, as she provides support to our clients and attorneys alike.
Q: How long have you been a paralegal?
A: I have been a paralegal for a Year and a half.
Q: Have you ever worked in any other areas of the law?
A: No. I have only worked in the field of family law and intend to do so for the foreseeable future!
Q: What drew you to family law?
A: Family law requires mental stimulation and keeps me learning. My job does not look the same from day-to-day, and I love the opportunities that working in the field of family law has given me.
Q: What do you enjoy most about family law?
A: I enjoy helping people through the most difficult time of their lives. Our clients need support, and I am here to help both them and the attorneys make sure they get the answers and the help that they need.
Q: What do you think makes you stand out among other professionals?
A: I have a background in working in the restaurant industry, so I have exceptional and efficient communication skills.
Q: Are you originally from Colorado? If so, what do you love most about it? If not, what brought you to Colorado and what do you love most about it?
A: I am originally from Michigan and have lived in Colorado for about 2 years. My husband is in the Army and we are stationed at Buckley Air Force Base. I love hiking 14ers in my spare time!
Q: When you are not working at GEM Family Law, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: Hiking with my family, reading, and cooking.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: I am currently learning to speak Dutch.
Q: Any other interesting facts/ info. About you?
A: I have two kids, Maxwell (4) and Jane (2).
