Q. How long have you been a billing specialist??
A. I started with GEM Family Law as a legal assistant in November of 2020. From there, I was promoted to billing specialist.
Q. Have you ever worked in any other areas of the law?
A. I have not worked in any other areas of the law and am new to the legal field.
Q. What drew you to family law?
A. I love to help and interact with people. Being a part of a family law firm allows me to do exactly that. It’s also a very complex field of law which involves a lot of different issues, which I find to be very interesting. No day is the same.
Q. What do you enjoy most about family law?
A. I enjoy having the ability to assist people during a hard time.
Q. What do you think makes you stand out among other professionals?
A. I’m an incredibly positive person and do my best to maintain high energy and a good attitude. I believe that those things help me to stand out, because that positive and energy can be easily transferred to others and help them, even in the midst of a difficult time.
Q. Are you originally from Colorado? If so, what do you love most about it? If not, what brought you to Colorado and what do you love most about it?
A. I’m originally from Texas. I’ve visited Colorado many times within the past year, and between the mountains and the sense of calm it brought me to be in Colorado, along with the cooler climate, I fell in love and decided to make Colorado my home.
Q. When you are not working at GEM Family Law, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A. When I’m not at work I love to read, write and work on graphic design with photoshop. I look forward to exploring more of the state and expanding my outdoor hobbies as the weather warms up this Spring.
Q. What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A. I worked at Verizon for three years, so I tend to be able to help with phone and tablet troubleshooting and issues. I also worked as a bar tender for many years and can make a mean Margarita and Old Fashion.
